It has been said that Jesus' parables are like imaginary gardens with real toads in them. In other words, Jesus uses story to engage the
imaginations, desires, and expectations of his listeners on a journey to uncover the reality of God through startling turns (croak!) or unexpected comforts (ribbit!) How can these uncovered truths told "once upon a parable" help us uncover the story of God with us, inviting new life everyday?
